Welcome to the wiki for GGro, a Houdini toolkit for organic growth effects, developed by Gio Gargiulo.
As you can see, this wiki is still a WIP!
Right now I’m focusing on writing a basic overview of everything, and I’ll go more in depth with illustrations and examples once everything is completed. In the meantime, if you have any questions, you can get in touch with me directly, contact info is on my website: giogargiulo.com
To download GGro, head over to the Gumroad page: https://giogargiulo.gumroad.com/l/ggro You can also find my introduction at the Cologne Houdini Hug here: https://youtu.be/VR1Cl0LrbDE
If you make any cool renders with GGro, feel free to tag me at @GioakG on Twitter and @giogargiulo on Instagram!
My name is Gio Gargiulo. I’m a software engineer by training, a 3D designer by trade. I’ve been working in Houdini since 2020, mostly for product visualizations and advertising. I’ve always experimented with growth effects since my Blender days. At one point I felt like I was reinventing the wheel with each new setup, so I felt the need to bring together all of my experiments into one single toolkit. That toolkit eventually grew to become what GGro is today.
